We were very lucky to have Year 4 read their picture books they wrote  to us this morning. We got to hear lots of different stories.

Lost Property

Hi Everybody,

As you may be aware there are a few children who have lost jumpers, jackets, drink bottles and hats and we need your help! Can you please check your child's belongings and ensure that they they have the correct ones labelled with their name. If you find there has been a mix up and your child has someone else's belonging can you please return them to school.

Bookweek Fun!

Kindergarten were very excited to parade around the school dressed as their favourite book character for the Bookweek Parade. To get ready for this special event Kindergarten were reading the shortlisted stories for 2015 and decided their favourite ones were Pig the Pug, and Scary Night.

Writing with Rhyme

This week we are working on rhyme in our reading and writing. We are looking for books that have rhyme in them like Pamela Allen and Dr Seuss. You may like to find books at home or in the library that rhyme and  practice writing some rhyming sentences. Have a look at some of our rhymes. The children are writing their own rhyming book.

Maths Week 3

Last week in Maths we were learning about patterns and how we can use patterns to help us with number patterns. The children created a variety of patterns and were able to identify a 2, 5 and 10 pattern.

Word Work Book

Hi Parents,

This afternoon your child received a Word Work Book that we will be using in class. We are asking that you cover the book with clear contact and return to school on Monday.  We had wanted to send out a note explaining this, however the internet was cut out at school today, due to maintenance issues and so we could not get anything printed. These issue have now been resolved and hence the blog post informing you of this book.

Maths Week 2

In Maths we learnt about the concept of time, including the order of events, how long some things can take and the use of an analogue  clock to identify o'clock time.

Auskick Fun

This afternoon we participated in a bit of Auskick fun. A flyer was sent home with more information regarding the afternoon clinic starting next Monday.
